Kevin's San Lorenzo Awning is a licensed contractor located in Santa Cruz, CA with many years of experience in the selection and installation of high-quality awnings, canopies and other decorative shade treatments. The company has been doing business in the Bay Area for more than 80 years. Their client list includes many corporations and large construction companies as well as prominent residents of the Bay Area.
Challenge:
Despite a very forward-looking and successful awning business, the company had a text-riddled website that defied navigation. Originally conceived and produced by someone on staff, the site wasn’t modern, and, most problematically, didn’t give prospect the information they needed to explore, select, or research awning types, colors and other options.
Solution:
The team at Techthree started with a site visit and interview with the company’s owner and operator. Together we mapped out a plan to re-invent the company online with a a new color palette, a dazzling picture gallery, and sufficient educational content to get buyers excited. After a month of wireframes and design options, the business owners selected a site design. Techthree then spent about a month gathering pictures, scanning images, and going to remote locations to take high-quality photos of the company’s impressive awning installations.
Their site traffic increased dramatically after the redesign, as did the information customers had when they contacted the customers. A maintenance contract ensured that the companies latest commercial, residential and custom awning installations were highlighted on the site. There’s even a place for some of the wonderful quotes satisfied customers sent in using their contact form.
